An exciting development at Silkhouse Court in Liverpool City Centre is nearing completion. Read on to find out more!
Silkhouse Court in The Commercial District is nearing completion. The development is being completed by the Fortis Development Group in which 193 Residential Apartments are going to be available To Let.
This will add to the increasing number of residents in Liverpool’s Commercial District. There are currently around 1,500 people living in this district and that number is only set to accelerate with a large number of developments and refurbishments taking place in the area.
The Silkhouse Court development is located on the corner where Bixteth Street and Tithebarn Street meet. It is opposite Exchange Station and The Tempest Building (which is where Yaaas! is headquartered!).
The development has taken a number of months, however, it is looking to be worth the wait. Standing on the pavement outside the building and looking up at the scale of it really takes your breath away; the sheer scale of the building is huge.
According to the updates that Fortis have provided, the building is approximately 80% completed in most aspects of development. You can find out more detailed information about the progress of the development here.
The development will include a variety of apartments, including one bedroom and two bedroom apartments, ranging from 411sq to 717sq. They will include fully-fitted kitchens, en-suite bathrooms and high-end fixtures and furnishings.
Below are some images of what the finished building is expected to look like. Looking at the development right now, from my office window in the Tempest Building, it is really starting to take shape. With additional finishing touches coming soon, such as the cladding on the outside, the new Silkhouse Court is set to be a wonderful addition to the ever improving area.
Fortis has also said that there will be an onsite concierge service, bicycle storage, CCTV operations and an onsite gym.
The development which is expected to be completed soon has an impressive GVD (Gross Development Value) of approximately £25,000,000.
