Want to know our least fave Nightflyers characters? Read on!
After watching all 10 episodes of Nightflyers, I can safely say that I had enjoyed the show and yet at the same time, I am very disappointed in many cases. There are some really great characters in the Netflix Original show, however there are some characters that might have been better receiving less screen time.
Nightflyers Characters: Lommie
Personally I found Lommie to be one of the less favourable characters, her role just came across as weak and vacant. It was hard to understand what her purpose on the ship, and in the overall story arc, was exactly. Lommie was somewhat neutral during the first few episodes, in the sense that I didn’t dislike her. However as the TV series progressed, Lommie started to take up more screen time with annoying and uninteresting plot lines, such as her monotonous interactions with Cynthia and Auggie.
Nightflyers Characters: Cynthia Eris
Without trying to give any spoilers, the concept of Cynthia Eric is very cool. However the implementation was not particularly successful. I think if it had been dealt with in a somewhat more empathetic sense, to be able to understand Cynthia and feel for her, then it might have worked. On the other hand, she is just simply a dislikable character and I could not wait for her scenes to be over.
Nightflyers Characters: Auggie
Auggie is played by the talented Brían F O’Byrne, and he made Auggie very likable throughout the show, however it was the poor writing that led to this character sadly ending up on this list. Auggie’s motives and relationship with Cynthia was just not particularly interesting and didn’t hold up, sorry Auggie, you had so much potential!
